// The challenge
The challenge was to redesign the developer experience from discovering security issues to solving them using the Conviso platform.
The redesign using this design system resulted in an increase of 11% in Monthly Active Users in Q2 of 2023 due to new making the overall experience easier and more compelling to use, adding team management features and risk score monitoring capabilities.
In Q1 of 2023, Conviso started refactoring all of its legacy software. This was the perfect timing to start working in the Design System.
When I was hired at Conviso, my job was to support the product development team and evangelize about the UX practice within the company. It's a company created and runned by Developers, so "proper" Product Design was not in their language.
Refactoring a 15 year old legacy product is no easy task and the team had to work hard everyday to make that transition without compromising our clients.
The new design system was crucial for this transition.
